My Sweetie and I shot a cowboy match today...man, first time I've shot a match since November! I was sloppy as all get out and managed only 17th out of 55 shooters. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. My Sweetie was right behind me and won high woman. Makes me want to buckle down and practice. Today I was shooting the Slick McClade/Jason Robinson .357 Blackhawks out of the new (and beautiful) Tombstone leather. It'll take me a few more matches to dial in both the pistols and the leather. Also — and this will crack you up – on the way out of the house at the crack of dawn this morning, I grabbed a couple of boxes of 12 gauge...instead of the wussy-pussy Winchester Feather Lites I usually shoot, I picked up the Heavy Target loads I use for sporting clays. LOL! My Browning was unhappy! The recoil was enough to reset the lightened safety every shot.
We have a 3-Gun match next week, so if the weather holds I'll be working out with the AR and the shotgun. Right now my VersaMax is being overhauled with a 9-round tube, which I need to have in place before the damned Colorado laws go into effect on 1 July. If I don't get the VersaMax back in time, I'll go with the back-up Mossberg 930. The pistol will be the usual Ruger SR9 9mm. As you know I'm committed to a Rock Island 9mm for the regular season, but right now the gun is at Jim Anglin's Sailor's Pistols being overhauled. He built my excellent Para LDA 9mm USPSA Limited/IDPA ESP pistol a few years back.
The weirdest thing happened when my Sweetie and I stopped at the wonderful Oskar Blues microbrewery in Lyons, CO, for dinner before we went home. As we were leaving, someone recognized me and just wanted to shake my hand and thank me for what I've been doing in Colorado...then another person...and another person...I teared up. In the last few days I have received hundreds of communications, mostly emails...all positive...so many I can even begin to answer them. I am honored and humbled. I am only a small part of a much larger fight, a fight every one of us is deeply involved in. If we all stand together, I don;t believe we can be beaten, much less destroyed as a culture. I've said this before...the gun culture is the DNA of America. We carry the dreams of the Founders, and we cannot and will not fail.
Again, my profound and humble thanks.
Stand and fight!

Since I can't do it in person, I'll do it via blog...
{{{handshake}}}
And a heartfelt THANK YOU MICHAEL!!
Keep fighting the good fight 'cause it ain't EVER going to stop for any of us.
All freedom lovers appreciate your strong work. Those that don't can go hell and they know what they can do to themselves when they get there.
Sir the next time the Misses and I get to Denver I would be honored to buy you and your lovely wife a beer or two
Even though I'm in Illinois (we have our own problems, as you know), I've been following the situation in Colorado through all of this mess and I, too, would like to thank you. If I could, I'd extend my hand to you as so many others have done.
"Thank you."
Russ
and thank you from a "woodchuck" (that's what the flatlanders call us) in vermont. for the fist time in many years we've got a nimnul legislator up in mountpeculiar trying to pass a gun ban bill. hopefully we can slap him down, ans send him home at the next elections.
Michael,
Keep up the fight. I heard you were talking about moving productions to Phoenix, I would be honored to show you around the range I belong to located in Phoenix.
Matt, a Phoenix native
Michael, I've noticed you talk a lot more about Glock pistols in your podcasts recently. Can Glock fans expect a transition to EDC for Michael?
Michael
From the free state of Alabama we are proud of what you are doing for gun owners. Keep fighting we will.
Yet another hearfelt thank you from the northwest corner of the state, where the liberals still tip-toe. Unfortunately there are not enough votes to even be noticed in the liberal bastion of the Front Range. Thank you for your testimony in the so-called "hearings" the legislature put on only because the were required to. They obviously didn't hear anything, even our own law enforcement testifying against these moronic Bills never even entered their conscience. A new substance has been discovered, Democratium, the hardest, most unyielding, densest material known to man. In comparison, lead would be closer to Hydrogen Gas. It is found in the skull of the liberal Democrat, and has no known use.
Michael, you deserve every thanks you get. Never, ever give up. God bless you, friend (from Almost Heaven, West Virginia).
Michael, it was a pleasure shooting with you and your lovely bride yesterday. The work you do keeping us all informed while fighting for our rights is greatly appreciated.
We are with you 100%.
GW
Hey, if you need a place to store your guns when the "assault weapons ban" goes into effect, I can do that for a small fee.
The Revolution starts at 8 AM Nov 4 2014. Bring your ID and VOTE! Remember those that stand with us and remember those that slither the other way.
Thanks from Juneau, Alaska Michael.
