Think that introducing one of these intermediate cartridges would be a better way to gage interest. But would of been nice if they could had developed this new cartridge so they could fit/(be used) in standard double stack mags.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8293484.post-76252340439765201152009-01-30T13:59:00.000-07:002009-01-30T13:59:00.000-07:00From what I've read, Remington's intent was to mak...From what I've read, Remington's intent was to make a suitable deer cartridge that was usable in an ar-15 lower and not an ar-10 lower. Those are: "Some gun-writer will then decry it" and last, "They'll stop making it" and you'll be stuck with an empty gun! Those steps apply even if the cartridge is a good one. Look at the 10mm. Great cartridge, good guns to put it through and great balistics. A true all=purpose round. But nooooo, it became the poster child for weakling shooters Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8293484.post-19747610435236877782008-10-15T20:05:00.000-06:002008-10-15T20:05:00.000-06:00Interesting plan on Remington's part. The 30RAR looks more like a benchrest round then a hunting round. The 30RAR will be a lot better in the 40-X than in the R-15. The Cerebrus crowd would just be better off offering up an upper/ rifle chambered in 6.5 Grendel then trying to force an new cartridge into the market. It would Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8293484.post-29838783814750874802008-10-15T18:36:00.000-06:002008-10-15T18:36:00.000-06:00Not to be confused with the .30 Remington that was...Not to be confused with the .30 Remington that was the parent cartridge of the 6.8 SPC...Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14051318156498045958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8293484.post-34474822392944508582008-10-15T10:47:00.000-06:002008-10-15T10:47:00.000-06:00I'm not clear on the need for all of these spe...I'm not clear on the need for all of these specialized AR calibers either.
