Stay Strong!

This egregious headline greeted me this AM when I turned on the computer:

This Is The Gun Used In The Colorado Shooting That Everyone Can't Believe Is Actually Legal

That would be the best-selling rifle in America.

Stay strong...we will weather this storm.

Mourn the dead; comfort the living and train!

In his most recent blog entry, John Lott said that concealed carry is illegal in Aurora, as well as in several other cities and Arapahoe County [where my cc was issued in '03]. What? Didn't the state law change that? Or did the courts uphold the cities' rights? I'm in Ohio for a few months and just picked up on this. OldeForce

  2. After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn't do it.

  3. I took the opportunity to talk to my grandson on the car ride home.

He had just finished his 1st IDPA match, and was full of excitement.

I pointed out that everyone at the match was safe, sane and the Aurora shooting was the act of a deranged person.

It was not the act of the gun.

Please instruct your young. The mentally ill & how we treat them and recognize them are the issue.

    Bob's post is right on.

I'll add that NOW is the time for the Pro-2A collective to band together and be MORE VOCAL than the anti's in the media.

Be it blogs, facebook, twitter, or whatever, it's a situation like thei that it needs to be shown the American public isn't outraged and wanting to lock up all the guns.....

  5. The question that needs to be answered is not why one person chose to do this.

The questions need to be why did the theater chain insist it's patrons be defenseless?

The belief that you are in an area without guns simply does not mean that it is true.

Were there the typical number of concealed weapons in a crowd of that size, do we really believe this assailant would have taken so many lives?

    I don't think so.

When you have entered a "No Gun Zone", you have outsourced your safety to an entity that is not present, and will only be there to clean up the carnage.

We all need to think about that before we voluntarily enter such zones.

  6. There are people on this planet that are just "purely evil".

No laws are ever going to stop them from carrying out their agenda.

Such a shame for the folks at the theater that they had to experience such evil that night.
