As If New Orleans Wasn't Enough...

...to remind you that sometimes Mr. Policeman might not be your friend, this from the New York Daily News, on the widespread availability of "hollowed-out" ammunition [my emphasis on the quote!]:
Hollowed bullet easy to get & hard to survive

Hollow-point bullets like the one used in the slaying of Officer Daniel Enchautegui are much deadlier than ordinary bullets - and nearly as easy to get.

Cops favor using the hollow-point bullets because they are less likely to pass through a target and ricochet into a fellow cop or bystander.

But they want their public sale banned to keep them out of the hands of thugs like Enchautegui's alleged killers, Steven Armento and Lillo Brancato.

"Our mission is to stop violent felons," said Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch. "There is no reason for anyone else to have that ability."

Doesn't leave any room for doubt as to how he views the human right to self defense. Also shows his us v. them mind set.

Now if he is retired, he is no longer a "cop" so we are all quite sure he has either disarmed or not loading his ? with hollow points aren't we?

I also have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

Uncle Walt said it well. I have another bridge in mind to sell if I can find a buyer!!

I load hollow point just for that reason and damned if I'll give them up for a cockamamie "cop".

And after they ban "hollowed out" ammo, they will ban evil "fully metaled" ammo, because they penetrate more.

Well there is always Cor-Bon Powerball. 45 ACP ball ain't too bad either. As a Cop, it doesn't matter to me. I will defeat the turds. Because I am better trained. And I shoot more than your average felon. This guy is a wussy. It is all a game. When your number is up. It is up. I think every honest citizen, needs to be armed and carrying Ranger T's. Because we are not going to get there in time. Most of the time. Regards

Wow! I guess the above comment proves that there are still some good cops out there. What a surprise!

Patrick Lynch don't speak for us Southern Cops. We're right glad to see honest citizens armed and ready to protect themselves and their families.
