Thank You, Senator, for Standing Up!

Fred's out. Of course, you read it here on the blog yesterday beofre you heard it anywhere else.

Here's part of his statement:
Today I have withdrawn my candidacy for President of the United States. I hope that my country and my party have benefited from our having made this effort. Jeri and I will always be grateful for the encouragement and friendship of so many wonderful people.
Thank you, Senator...you would have been one hell of a President.

    Well CRAP !

It's time to start hammering the front running R's with the Pro-Gun message.
They need to be forcefully reminded how important OUR votes are.

    Agree completely.

By the way MB did you write the lead editorial in today's Wall Street Journal? It sure did a nice job of presenting "our" point of view.

    Thank you?!?

Fredheads should be hopping mad for all the time, energy, and money they invested in his campaign only to have him blow it.

Fred was a horrible candidate who had his thumb up his arse.

Fred didn't STAND UP, he LET YOU DOWN!

  5. The "front running R's" are RINOs who have ALL supported and said they will support more restrictions on the right to own guns. McCain's out fighting private property sales must go through the government approval process, Romney supports bans on "unusually lethal" weapons, Rudy...a nationwide New York, no thanks, Huckabee might as well have hung Wayne Fincher himself.

Only one man for gun rights now, and people would rather have light comfortable chains....

  8. I invite all of Fred Thompson's supporters from this forum to check out Ron Paul's position on the 2nd ammendment: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/second-amendment/

In his years as a congressman Ron Paul has never voted for any legislation that restricted out RKBA.

I'm sorry the good doctor is a political kook with his neo-isolationism foreign policy. I will not vote for a man that blames America first. Besides, if elected, Paul would most likely be this generation's Woodrow Wilson and an abysmal flop.

well, I was giving Fred my money on the monthly withdrawl plan, now that that is over, I don't see a single one of these rinos or the RNC as being worth a dime of my funds, so I guess I will just allocate the rest of that budget item to NRA-ILA and buying more evil black guns and hicap mags....

Political discussion is interesting but it can't beat a plate of warm homemade biscuits. Thanks for the recipe, MB. I wish I knew what you did to the recipe?? Maybe sub out the buttermilk for canned?
