Big Doin's in Valhalla Tonite

I note the passing of Frank Frazetta, whose women of fantasy populated many an adolescent's fantasies...

Frank and Boris Vallejo were both leaders in the fantasy/sci-fi art world, and will be missed.

I doff my D&D hat and give a mighty war cry to the passing of this great artist.

I grew up reading Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian, mostly because of the great cover art of Frank Frazetta. It is a sad day, indeed.

  4. Well, damn. Frazetta's art fueled many of my flights of childhood imagination. Right now, he and Syd Mead are probably hoisting ambrosias and bemoaning the lack of new talent down here on Earth.

Jeff Cooper's 90th Birthday, too. Ravens, thunder, friends, back-slapping, and chuckles of recognition in Valhalla!

Someone gave me a Frazetta print of a stacked woman with a sickle and snake for an apartment warming
present. Many of my friends knew I was a big Robert E Howard fan as a kid.

My wife gave it to my little brother after we were married. She became his favorite sister in law after that.

I'm going to have to get a book of his drawings now.

I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Frazetta's passing.

It may be of interest that the Martian sword from the picture you showed as well as the Death Dealer helm and axe and more are available from Albion Swords.

    They are truly stunning.
