Yes it is something that Aitken can celebrate. But the Gov. only commuted his sentence to time served. Mr. Aitken is still a convicted Class A Felon on a gun charge and essentially his life is ruined. Was hoping for a pardon. Sad.

Christie just commuted his sentence...not a full pardon. Hope that gutless politician has seen the end of his political aspirations.....

In NH Ward Bird will not be home for Christmas, but he is getting a full pardon.
Question, Will Brian Aitken still have a felony conviction on his record ?

  7. The response sent to me by Governor Christie was that Mr. Aitken was charged with not only unlawful possession of a handgun but with possession of "dum dum" bullets (hollow points?)and a hi cap magazine. Beware if you are traveling in New Jersey. Thank God I live in Florida.

Don't forget David Olofson rotting away in Federal prison on the trumped up "machine gun" charges that he was convicted on by the BATF.

I agree with those of you who are disappointed with the lack of a pardon. This would be a good cause for my NRA $.

His permamnent "record" is my big concern too. We need to get the NRA and Christie to get him exonerated and have his record expunged? I'm starting my letter writing. I'm writing Judge Napolitano at Fox News' "Freedom Watch", Glenn Beck and "Huckabee". o'reilly doesn't have any "teeh", nor savvy, so I'll not be writing him. Remember what "Fair and Balanced" actually is. Half-way between right and wrong is still wrong!!!!!
