On location for TBD/Survival today, but thought I'd hook you up with an opposing view on reholstering, from The Truth About Guns:
http://thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/02/robert-farago/the-incredible-importance-of-re-holstering/#more-34135
As it happens, much of tomorrow's podcast is on reholstering and I present a diametrically opposed viewpoint. Read Robert's blogpost, listen to the podcast and give this subject some thought, because, there may be a time when quite literally your life depends on those actions.

If I'm not in a competition, I'm not worried about re-holstering. I will be calling the cops and setting the firearm out in plain sight, so that they know exactly where it is.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Larry, been looking for the very person you're talking about...nobody's talking, which us creepy in and if itself...I think the dot.gov is worried about this bug time...

I am curious to hear more about the "your life may depend on it", reholstering that is. In training I've had it's been presented as "reholster if possible before the police arrive" but not quite so urgently. I see how being reholstered will probably lessen the chances of being shot by the police, but it might not always be feasible to do...
