SHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

It's a huge secret rumor and you didn't hear it from me, okay? Is a major handgun company on the block, and is an even bigger conglomerate in hot and heavy negotiations to buy it? Only the cherubs and seraphim (welcome back, guys!) know for sure.

BTW, DRTV clocked the biggest days in our history Monday & Tuesday! Thanks, all!

Next week, an in-depth look at the Kimber Solo if I don't get snowed out at the range.

  2. What, is Colt being sold ... again? Didn't we do this story 3 years ago?

Didn't you post this same rumour a year or so back?

Jerry Geek, MB said a major handgun manufacturer. Colt hasn't been a "major" in decades.

Smith and Wesson's market cap is ~$170m less than Ruger....either way it could be interesting.

  8. It's a private company and I have NOT been able to confrim (or deny, for that matter). Consistent with what I know however...

My guess: Springfield Armory bought by Freedom Group.

Not many major & private handgun mfgs to choose from.

After further thought, I change my guess to Kimber. They are the only possible candidate I can see having a desire to sell, and fit as a major, private handgun manufacturer.
