From USA Today:
Research by the National Sporting Goods Association shows female participation in target shooting grew by 46.5% between 2001 and 2010. And an October 2011 Gallup Poll found 23% of women own a gun.
The world is changing, and for the better. It's interesting that the story is based on the NSGA report, which mentions "target shooting," but the story ledes with women "hunting." That's basically an MSM fail, the inability to believe that people use guns for anything but whacking turkeys. Yes, they get into it later in the story — congrats, Haley! — but that material should have been the lede. Still, we're winning!
If you truly believe this, you'll have at least one song by Adele, Kelly Clarkson, or Katy Perry. LOL

ReplyDeleteMichael, as you've always said, "But knives are important!" I treat the knife pistol wardrobe as separate but supportive. Usually it's a Sebenza in the right pocket and a partially serrated Delica in the left. Sebenza for work, Delica for any time the knife might go away after use--defense, or in case I need to loan it out, or say there's someone trapped with a seatbelt. Something utterly unobjectionable, like a itty-bitty Swiss Army knife, is in a pocket too, for cutting tape, threads, the scissors, etc. Since I've moved toward appendix IWB for most carry, strong side belt has room for a Graham Razel or a Dozier K-32 Personal Wharncliffe (although both need better sheaths). An LCP still fits in a front pocket too.
ReplyDeletesebastian has a GREAT post on the second amendment and the meaning of the next election. must read.
