Now we're back to life in the hot zone. Today President Obama called for the public to pressure their legislators on gun control...hey, I totally agree! EVERY ONE OF YOU needs to call, write. email, text, visit personally, whatever with your legislators, national and local, and tell them that you are UNEQUIVOCALLY AGAINST THE GUN BANS!
- You are unequivocally against the demonization and ban of the most popular, best selling, rifle in America.
- You are unequivocally against a useless "magazine capacity ban" drafted by people who wouldn't know a firearm from umbrella stand.
- You are unequivocally against the "solution in search of a problem," of closing the nonexistent gun shop loophole.
- You unequivocally support ENDING gun-free zones.
- You unequivocally support placing armed guards in our schools.
- You are DISGUSTED by the blood libel brought agains gun owners, the industry and our organizations by those who would strip of of our rights!
Cuomo indicated the state will likely force some kind of permit process on owners of semi-automatic “assault weapons.” In addition to generating revenue and expanding the size and reach of government, the effort will allow the state to confiscate the weapons of citizens who do not comply... “Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it,” the governor said.
Michael,
ReplyDeleteI agree completely!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas Michael!
"Oh don't worry," they say, "no one is talking about taking your guns away."
ReplyDeleteWell, except Michael Bloomberg. And Andrew Cuomo. And Diane Feinstein.
Who rank as "nobodies" in my book.
And yes, we Canadians DO wait for traffic lights in the middle of nowhere. We also like to shoot, and know a bad idea like a long-gun regristry when we see one!
You unequivocally support placing armed guards in our schools.
ReplyDeleteI actually don't support this.
There isn't a police force anywhere that has the funding.
If they can do it, great. If they can't then we have option #2:
I DO support letting teachers use their CCW permits like God intended. It doesn't have to be all of them.
Just having the slimebags knowing that there could be a few around will make the kill zones that much less attractive. They go there to kill, not fight.
The more they call for criminalizing possession and confiscation of semi-autos withou qualification, the more the Fudd's who don't have scary looking semi's will have to get energized.
ReplyDeleteThe key will be to make sure we don't let them make a distinction and split the gun owners like last time.
-We- need to be the ones pointing out that logically they need to be going after the 10/22's, the wood-stocked BAR's and Rem 750's, the Benelli Ultra-Lights and Beretta A400's, if they want to "make a difference."
Gunsite is teaching a special class to educators later early next year, and we are invited. Buz Mills suggest a biometric lock box for the trained civilian in the school with a direct link to police emergency services when the box is opened...this is 'way smart...

Volunteer teachers and school staff willing to train should be allowed to carry arms, like the armed flight deck officers program was SUPPOSED to arm pilots.
ReplyDeleteAs a retired educator for a school system in northeastern ohio that has had a police office in its high school and middle schools for over 10 years it seemed to work most of the time. It would have been better if I and others like me with CCW's were permitted to carry. Training should be offered and required; working and training, with the educators and police officer working as a team. The school system and the city split the cost - it gave the city more on street officers in the summer for patrols.
ReplyDeleteWayne LaPierre didnt say anything stiring. Actually pretty much boiler plate from his std speeches. Wish he said what u did.
ReplyDeleteAs a retired Lt of the Chicago Fire Dept I wonder why the safety of the faculty and school children would not come first in any discussions. The issue should be safety, how are the occupants protected today from fire? Fire drills are held once a month in Chicago. Fire extinguishers are readily available in case of emergencies as well as sprinkler systems. Special rated doors for fire protection. Why can't the schools be equipped with protections for the safety of everyone. Why not have armed responsible adults in the class rooms, why not have devices such as pepper spray just like fire extinguishers are available. I could go on and on...... Im sorry if i spoke too long.
ReplyDeleteMichael please keep up the excellent work. Merry Christmas to everyone.
There's a Petition supporting 2A on We the People of the White House web page. Looks like it can use a ton of signature help....
