Here is a statement released by Noveske Rifleworks, via Soldier Systems:
Noveske Rifleworks would ask you to remember the passing of our founder, John Noveske, who died Friday, January 4th 2013 in an automobile accident.
John planned for all eventualities, and wanted to ensure any changes would be as seamless as possible for our customers, dealers, suppliers, employees and friends. While this will be a trying time, we do not expect a change in the day to day operations of Noveske Rifleworks. We would like to thank you for your support as we deal with our loss, and would ask that instead of flowers, you consider a donation to a cause we will announce at later date.
John was more than just the founder of Noveske Rifleworks, he was a loving husband and father, and caring friend.I met John in Oregon last year and found him smart, off-beat and surprisingly funny. This is a close-knit community, and he will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace.
wow.. i am shocked he was only 36. He accompplished alot in his short life. I only hope those of us who were able to aquire one of his fine rifles are able to keep them.
ReplyDeleteMichel, thanks for posting this. Sherri Johnson has been running the day to day operations of the company for a long time. They have a bunch of highly qualified smiths/machinists in the back and operations will continue without interruption. Frank Nelson
ReplyDeleteI live in Oregon and had the very good fortune of picking up my Afghan directly from John and spending a fair bit of time with him on a few occasions discussing business, politics, shooting, bear hunting, and patents. He was most definitely one of the Good Guys, and one of the more interesting people I have met. And, on top of it, he struck me as a genuinely good human being, intelligent, witty, humble, and kind.
