Tooooooooooooooo busy tomorrow, so we're declaring tonight Margarita Monday! My Sweetie is doing roasted corn, wild rice and chipotle pancakes from a
Bobby Flay recipe, so I thought I'd just grill some salmon with salt and pepper and just a bit of an ancho chili rub. Margarita-wise, I was thinking of
Suavecito Reposada paired with fresh lemon juice and
Patron Citronge orange liqueur. Maybe a trace of agave sweetener, depending on the lemons.
I'll let you know how it goes!
That makes my Cheerwine and Bourbon sound so gauche.
ReplyDeleteYes, Patron!
ReplyDeleteA great product, a great company, a great corporate owner, John Paul DeJoria, owns 70% of Patron. He started off as a HOMELESS man, collecting bottles and cans to take to the recycling center to get money for food. Worked his way up. Transformed the patron brand into the powerhouse it is today. He owns Paul Mitchell Salon products, a pet products company, Patron, and a bunch of other companies. Key to his success: He does not use email. Fascinating guy. Check out this write up about him from Inc. Magazine: http://www.inc.com/magazine/201306/liz-welch/the-way-i-work-john-paul-dejoria-john-paul-mitchell-systems.html
And, watch him being interviewed: http://upstart.bizjournals.com/entrepreneurs/hot-shots/2013/07/31/billionaire-john-paul-dejorias-biz-tips.html Notice how he tells Barack HUSSEIN Obama to get government out of the way of the people.
I really like this guy. So, thanks, Michael for bringing up Patron!
Are you and Indiana going to make it for the 5th Saturday match at Pawnee? It should be interesting, I think they are using stages I wrote...
ReplyDelete- Grizz
Well, how did it go?
ReplyDeleteSuavecito makes a VERY smooth Mary, especially with the Patron. This is definitely a "mellow out" margarita!
