What percentage of attacks would you image consist of one attacker? Does that influence your planning?
Are there any books/videos you would specifically recommend for spouses/daughters (beyond this excellent episode of The Best Defense)? Nothing dense but at least introducing them relevant concepts.
VT…I assume most of the future attacks will be 1-3 people, based on info from Dr. William Aprill and my own sources…including American and Israeli counterterrorist specialists.
I wish I could recommend something for your spouses/daughters…we're sort of in uncharted territory here…
I had a unexpected event come up, when is it re-airing, i tried to find it thru Cox Cable Contour, but some strange reason, The Best Defense doesnt exist in their invetory. UHM?
2 November it will reair! - I will let everyone know when we have the Director's Cut up on My Outdoor TV (myoutdoortv.com), our big pay site. You'll be able to get the first month for $0.99 using my producer's code, SGO, on the second page. Short for SHOOTING GALLERY ONLINE, BTW…wait till you see that puppy!
Hi Michael, I was looking forward to the episode with dread. I expected to be pretty emotionally affected by it, and wasn't really.
I thought there would be more "there" there...
Somehow, despite the great production, and expert testimony, it felt more like just the opening segment of a normal episode. I watched/rewatched a couple afterwards (old guy attacked in a park, and school shooting) and found them to be full of actionable advice, and examples. The massex episode seemed to be missing that.
Could be that I've learned more than average on the subject, even as a lay person, so I didn't see anything new there where others might have.
It was a tasty snack, but I was expecting the whole meal.
I'll go watch the directors cut tomorrow, and perhaps that will give me what I was missing.
In any case, it was good, well done work, and I'm glad you guys took the time to do it. I'm looking forward to more new episodes of TBD.
Working on watching it for the second time, OC really did everyone a disservice by cutting this show to a half hour. This show of all shows should be a 3 day mini series.
Truth be told, I FF'd through it the first time looking for myself.
Thank you Michael for including me in the show and the pops afterward. Jim M.
Michael: Love MOTV! It's what I have wanted, no cable connection. And just paying for programs and people that I choose. Too bad for the Bill Maher's and the CNN's (fist raised).
You have my attention!

Hey Michael, I misunderstood. I thought the director's cut was already up. Hopefully soon, before the 99c month runs out!
