A Quickie Before I Race Up To the Studio and Finish the Podcast

I went to the Ruger website to vote for the newest Ruger 10/22 50th Anniversary design. There were some definitely cool design, but I went with the one from Gary in Michigan...it's a 10/22 designed for the Appleseed Project. As you guys know, I unconditionally support the Appleseed Project. I think 1 10/22 designed as the Appleseed "Liberty" rifle would help boost the program. Check it out for yourself!

Other good news on my long distance rifle project is that CDI Precision Gunworks now has the bottom metal to convert my FNH TSR .308 to the AI magazine standard. That'll make the TSR consistent with my Ruger Gunsite Scout on mags. Yes, the mags are expensive, and yes, they are bulletproof. I'll be interested to see if the Ruger polymer versions will work as well (the Rugers, duh, work fine in the Ruger).

Time to get to pod'ing...LOL!

Michael,

Do the new Ruger magazines still work as a "push-feed" design in the Scout Rifle?

The cheaper poly Scout mags plus Mr Dremel...

People often conflate "bulletproof" & "expensive".
They don't have to go hand in hand.

What Dremel mod needed for the polymer Ruger mags? I have a CDI conversion for a Savage 110 deployed. I stayed away from the Ruger polymers because of negative reviews of same.

Michael, Appleseed aside - especially I'm surprised no one submitted an Appleseed "Liberty Training Rifle" (which is the gold stad. for 10/22 conversions for Appleseed) - Gary from Michigan's design DOES seem to be the most practical for most applications. He gets my vote as well.

"Joe from Nebraska" gets my sentimental vote, even though Appleseed is a fine thing.

Speaking of the podcast and girl's voices you'll fall in love with. Check out Robyn Adele Anderson on youtube. She does several covers of pop songs arranged by a good writer who's name I've forgotten. The doo wap cover of Ms Cirus' song is compelling. And the Irish Tenor version of get lucky is halarious.

Saw you filming just past the Tulsa Blue Dome District on the way to lunch today. You should try Los Americas for lunch at E3rd and S. Zunis Ave...about a mile east of where you were filming. Authentic Mexican...grocery store too....

We went to McNellie's, down the street! Heck, you should have stopped by!

McNellies is good...better if the drink selection is a consideration!!!

You were busy filming.....so...I generally don't bother anyone hard at work. The stationary police presence caught my eye then I saw the camera...thought it was local TV at first until closer up. Next time I'll stop...when I go out I usually have a vendor on the hook to pay which is a good thing.

If you're still in town the bar-b-que joint (ferget the dang name but on S. Elgin) adjacent to Yo Mamma's pizza (1/2 block from McNellis) has candied bacon appetizers which are a whole lot better than they sound.

Los Americas is really semi-authentic I guess...more meat than authentic Mexican.
