God Bless America!

It was a hard-fought fight and we lost.

The fight begins again tomorrow.

We are up to the fight.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that MB. The staggered primary system results in moderate GOPers winning the nomination every time(ever since Reagan's last term.) By the time the conservative areas get to vote in the primary the fix is already in.That and McCain's WONDERFUL campaign finance law will guarantee another 60 years of Dems controlling the House. The new super majority will now easily pass whatever legislation their hearts desire pushing out what little remains of our manufacturing base. And all of our electric bills will be doubling soon enough to provide the subsidies for green energy. YEEHAW another year and a half I will have my degree and move overseas to a middle eastern country where I will be freer than in the good ole' U S of A.

Yup. Just what I was looking forward to. Twenty or thirty years of radical government and disenfranchisment. Twenty or thirty years of banging my head againist a wall. Twenty or thirty years of having to contribute hard earned money to defend what is mine. Sh*t.

    anon@9:36,

Hasn't it sunk in yet....the country isn't as conservative as you think it is.

We in the gun culture are in for a long hard road. Hopefully by the time all the new Dem judges are appointed they will consider Heller as stare decisis.

"WE" may be up to the fight. The country has surrendered.

To paraphrase Pogo "We has met the enemy, and they has beat the sh** outta us."
    Sadly, tomorrow's another day.

There's no tomorrow. The country has witnessed a coup. We have become Germany.

You can't reason with evil, and if you think he and the rest of the cult aren't evil you're not paying attention.

Wow, so much to agree with (we are now Germany in the late 1920's) and so much to disagree with.

The fight continues - not starts. Starts anew maybe, or redoubles perhaps, but we have been at war with the libs for far longer than with the islamofascists.

Woke up at 4AM, couldn't sleep, had to know for sure. It was bad last night when b-ho was carrying all of the heavily populated states.

Haz, the country didn't surrender, but huge swaths of people gave in to their baser instincts and the gimme gimme mindset. Bread and circuses took the Romans down too. Damn little comfort, tho.

The election map shows b-ho blue in the NE and left coast, the rest is mostly Conservative red.

The Dems as of this moment do NOT have a super-majority, still fifty short in the House. Subject to change of course.

Unlike post-WWI Germany, we have a mature democracy (heck, we were locally self-governing before 1776). Many of us also are pretty hard core about the RKBA and don't forget that lesson of history.

E.g. the big warning sign here is when the authorities ignore thuggish law breaking, which will be a bit harder if it rises to the level that allows self-defense and the thug is perforated (doesn't matter at all if he's dead (that's not the objective anyway), the deterrence value to his ilk is good enough).

Only time will tell, though, if Obama is the revolutionary radical we fear, or "just another corrupt Chicago politician" (although it's sad we're hoping for the latter as a best case). For now, I'm going to keep my eyes and ears open and see what happens.

I don't understand what the big deal is. Just another glorious day here in California!

    Welcome to the fight.
