KSE is the 600# gorilla in the room. Lots of Walmart* family money.
The buyout is good news, bad news. KSE has the cash to make things happen, but when a big chunk of the outdoor media is in one corporation's hand you lose a lot of the creativity that comes with competition.
And big corporations are are shy about taking public stands on controversial subjects (2nd Amendment anybody?) as to not offend. And Mr. Kroneky guards his privacy, so don't expect him to be out there protecting our lifestyle, this is strictly business.
I'll hold my breath and see what happens. I'm worried that some of my favorite network shows will fall by the wayside.
Sorry guys ,but you are WAY off base! KSE owns OUTDOOR CHANNEL. Stan Kroenke, whom I haven't met, stepped in at the last minute to save OC from a merger with InterMedia last year. He was a White Knight, moving to preserve OC independence. BTW, he is an entrepreneur who has made his own billions, irrespective of to whom he is married.
KSE has been a breath of fresh air. I'm just coming back from 3 days at Gunsite with OC execs. Last year we took the top executive tier through Gunsite with pistol, ARs and shotguns.
Regarding the Second Amendment, I would submit that us what we DO...DRTV, the podcast, the highest rated array of shooting shows ever...all owned by OC. I can also tell you that there are spectacular documentaries in the works that are nothing short of spectacular, telling our Second Amendment story EXACTLY the way we dreamed of telling it. There's other stuff in the works that I can't tell you about but that are from my own perspective as a longtime 2A activist I am thrilled.
As far as the consolidation of media, InterMedia, one of the largest outdoor media operations, is no longer the property of one of the largest "bundlers" for the Democratic Party and quite literally one of Barack Hussein Obama's top fund-raisers. You're going to have to explain to me how THAT is a bad thing!

Didn't we all go thru this with Freedom Group? Results less than impressive imho.

mb
Michael, people are concerned that the majority of our favorite outdoor TV shows are now owned by one outfit.
That's not good for competition nor the development of new shows and new talent.
OTOH, young upstarts have many new broadcast options that weren't available when you were a rookie. Roku and ChromeCast to name just two.
