The legendary Swedish pop group ABBA is mulling a possible reunion next year, singer Agnetha Faltskog said in a German newspaper interview Sunday.
Can you hear the drums, Agnetha?

That has to be the seventh or eighth sign of the apocalypse...
What, not esoterically complex enough, Michael? All ya had to do was DANCE to it!
If I trust in them, would they let me down?
Make your choice but believe me I love them I do, I do, I do, I do, I do.
if agnatha is still hot after so many years, then the kingdom will be saved!
Please, God, no!
In Abba's hey-day, they were ranked as a bigger business enterprise than Volvo in Sweden. In retrospect, I don't know if that actually means anything. All I knew was that I couldn't stand them and any of the other 70's "hair groups".
Long live Rock & Roll!

Their amazing success should not be cheapened by a reunion. It's possible to such things well but often the artists voices are only a shadow of their past. Vocal cords age. It's usually even worse if they write new songs. Still I have no desire to listen to them butcher their hits.
I would love nothing more! I've always enjoyed their vocal stylings. Interesting how they switched up the speeds of their vocals to get that sound
I was never the biggest fan of ABBA, but never gave them a chance (there's a pun there but I'll save y'all).
Marshal Crenshaw does "Knowing Me, Knowing You" on his live record. I loved, LOVED that song but never looked into who wrote it.
I worked at a record store in my 20's and went into my boss's office to ask a question one day. He was listening to ABBA Gold. I stopped dead in the middle of sentence and said "No way! That's an ABBA song?!?!"
He had turned me on to Crenshaw, so he just had this huge stupid grin on his face and said "Yep!"
ABBA's good in my book!
Who cares? They'll probably have to Lip-Sync anyway.
Holy Splash Batman, they rate right up there with Captain & Tennille!
Hey MB,was wondering if your contacts at Armscor in the Philippines have relayed any info regards the extensive damage from Typhoon Haiyan? I see they have facilities in Visayas.
Since the US shooting community has so many Filipino ties (JJ Racaza, KC Eusubio etc)have they put together any relief efforts?
If anyone wants to help out you can always donate to the big guys in disaster relief such as Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, Worldvision etc. Prayers are also welcome.
We should do something to help the people of the Philippines. Ever since we liberated them from Spain, we have had a special relationship with the Philippines.
Read William Manchester's book "American Caesar" about General Douglas MacArthur. The General loved the Filipino people as much as he loved America. He had great respect for their people and for their country, and regarded them as our national brothers. When FDR ordered MacArthur to leave the Philippines, he threatened to resign from the U.S. Army and enlist as a private in the Filipino army. And, he meant it. We should help these people. This is their hour of great need, and we should be there to help.
My good good friend Martin Tuason, the CEO of Armscor, is on his way home today. He says everyone in the Armscor family is safe, but he needs to be there to see what he can do.
I will post when I hear from Martin.

Michael:
When do you re-tell how ABBA figured prominently in your career as a music critic? {grin}

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid!!!!
IIRC, ABBA had bought an oil company while they were hot, which is where their money grew. I seem to recall their portfolio was approaching 10 figures in dollars, long time ago. Unless they got major stupid, they shouldn't have money problems!
