Candles in the Rain

If you are a Muslim and this offends you, go to hell.

We said we would never forget, and yet we did. We staged futile show wars, where our sons and daughters — the best of us — died in the sand for land we never intended to hold, for reasons we could never articulate, for strategies we never bothered to create. We elected a president with  his Muslim ""advisors," who funded the jihad with our money and warned us to be nice to those who seek to destroy us…or else.
On this day in 2014 The American Spectator wrote this:

"What is so troubling is the ongoing insistence that there is no connection between the attacks of September 11, 2001 and Islam. It isn’t to say that every single Muslim in the world bears responsibility for 9/11. But if we insist on pretending their isn’t a critical mass of Muslims prepared to murder innocent civilians, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, in the name of Islam, then we only succeed in insulting our intelligence, thus ensuring that this will continue to happen. There is a problem within Islam and the consequences of this problem is the 9/11 attacks by al Qaeda and the beheadings of journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff by ISIS and numerous incidents in between. According to the website, the Religion of Peace, there have been 23,795 acts of Islamic terrorism since September 11, 2001."
We forgot.
They won.
Their victory is so profound that the President of the United States can't even bring himself to say the names of our executioners. Until the public outcry, some high school students in Florida was requited to recite the shahada, "There is no god, but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God" BTW, recitation of the shahada in front of witnesses is also the first and only formal step in conversion to Islam.
We are no longer appalled, or even surprised at the beheadings, the burning children alive, boiling captured enemies in oil, the slave markets in Syria, the poisonous tendrils of the 11th Century weaving their way into our 21st Century lives.
You've heard my story before. I went to New York as soon as I could, so I could go with my best friend back to his loft across the street from where the South Tower stood. He was one of the heroes of that day, and his story is nothing less than incredible. But it is his story, not mine, to tell. And he has chosen not to tell it.
I have told you about standing in my friend's loft — he was 3-S, my old loft was 4-S, one floor up — ankle deep in ash, shredded paper and pieces of furniture and…other things... blown through the windows and walls as the South Tower collapsed. We had to wear hazmat gear because of the "high organic content" of the ash.
"High organic content"
Think about that.
I remember holding the cop who was required to accompany us as he sobbed. "We couldn't save anyone," he kept saying. "We couldn't save anyone."
I remember standing with my friend the night before, in the cold rain, while the site still burned and responders were still collecting pieces of Americans, my brothers and sisters, in 5 gallon plastic buckets. All around us were handmade posters — "Have you seen….my wife, my husband, my child, my friend…" — fading, the photos and words vanishing in the rain. The couple next to us were in evening wear, him a tuxedo, her in an evening gown. On the other side was an Hassidic family. Everyone was crying and no one made an attempt to get out of the rain.
It stank of ash, of seared metal, of something else, something horrible and primeval, that lodged in the back of your throat.
Fifteen years ago
We are, I fear, facing the last free American election.
If we lose, the next election will be all for show, bread and circuses for the rabble. If we lose, Americans will learn the sick fear of the knock on the door in the middle of night. We will learn the close-mouthedness of the old USSR and the real meaning of "Irish Democracy." We will come to hate our neighbors, and our children will become our informers, the instruments of our doom.
Once again, we will hear the muted rattlings of the boxcars, feel the hopelessness of the wire and the Dead Line.
We will finally understand the true meaning of dhimmitude, and by then it will be too late.
For the sake of the Founders…
For the sake of the Shining City on the Hill…
For the sake of your children and their children…
For the sake of the millions who gave their last full measure of devotion to preserve this country, our country…
Before you cast your ballot this November, close you eyes for just a moment…
...and remember.
BTW, the number of attacks recorded on Religion of Peace since September 11, 2001 is now 29,197.

You don't have to be "religious" to appreciate these truths.

I have been sounding the alarm about this president and his commie-muslim administration since the beginning. No one seems to care. I'm truly dumbfounded that few seem to "get it".
I really hope that we have an election and that Trump wins. We can't take much more.

Please do not forget that 4 years ago two diplomats were killed and two former military were killed in battle in Benghazi Libya. A brave group of other CIA contractors were wounded or carry the effects of PTSD to this day.

Hillary Clinton along with other communist America haters in our government have blood on their hands. Remember this for the next 57 days to the election.

I haven't forgotten.

I am silent, because few want to hear.

But, I haven't forgotten. I remember. I grieve. And I
wait.

It sickens me that for all his Progressive faults, FDR at least waged war like he meant it, and fought to win. Four years and two atomic weapons later, the Imperial Japanese and the Third Reich were Kaput. 15 years and we have a "leader" who won't name the enemy who is as strong, if not more so, than when it began. When will we have to start shooting the bastards, as Ms. Wolf wrote? (sigh)

In the end, everyone will hide behind the good guy with the gun.

Some of us never forgot, but we are screaming against the wind, our words ripped from our throats and tossed to the fates before the sounds are barely formed.

Those of us among us, our media, our politicians, who forgot a week after the event, and we paid for their indifference with the blood of our finest.

I haven't forgotten but it seems 9/11 is only a token memory to many. As time goes by it will be like 12/7/41 is, an "oh yeah remember that?" I saw the towers burn that day, I remember how helpless I felt and I will never forget.

I had a discussion with a fellow conservative that said to me how can you vote for Trump he isn't a conservative. Aren't you tired of holding your nose and voting for someone who doesn't have your conservative values and principles? Yes, I am tired of that. I am conservative and believe in individual liberties and I do not want someone to take care of me. I don't like all the government programs and waste and a lot of what Trump has said seems like he will continue in that same direction.

I am going to vote for Trump, he is not a conservative, he isn't the candidate I wanted to vote for but it's either Trump or what? I am not going to contort my principles to justify voting for Trump I don't have to he is the only one to vote for if there is any hope for a return to sanity in Washington. I have said my whole adult life that America is the last best hope for the rest of the world. Trump just might be the last best hope for this great country.

If the worst happens - as I fear it might, given how Clinton is being allowed to continue in spite of being an un-convicted felon, by her own admission (part of the punishment being unable to ever hold public office again), we must remember what Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote:

"What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!"

That is what we may be faced with, and we must take the opportunity to make those who would target us unsure of surviving the encounter. I refer you to Mike Vanderboegh's "Sipsey Street" tale. Finally, we must also remember Winston Churchill's remark:

"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival."

"There may be even a worse fate. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves."
