Also interested in seeing how long the SBR paperwork takes for the .300 Blackout pistol. Still pondering optic...maybe Trijicon?
Hope to shoot my first precision rifle class in a few weeks! Probably use the McCrees Precision .308.

If it was built from the start, or purchased, as a pistol why would you need SBR paperwork?
I like how Tritium is a battery backup or the sole low light illumination. I've heard it has a half life of 10 years. That seems too short to count on being able to use it. You guys must have older trit sights. How bright are they X years later?

I have Trijicon's on my Smith' Third-Gen" and they're going on 20 years old. The front sight is just starting to "dim". Too bad, as the rear sight's 2-dots are now brighter and it spoils the sight picture a bit. I'm going to buy a new set though, as I believe that they're an essential part of my required equipment.

Mine are around 13yo. When new, you could just about read a paper in a dark area with them, but now it has to be a dark area to see the green glow. Can't recall the brand, but marked MH3, and TRU DOT.
Michael, if you do your Form 1 through e-file and have a trust, the SBR stamp takes a little more than a month. Not sure about doing a non-trust Form 1.
