Wednesday PODCAST Apology!!!!

I am so sorry I don't have a post-SHOT podcast for today.

I am under DOCTOR'S ORDERS, backed by the threat of dire consequences, not to strain my now-shattered voice...four days (actually five, counting the pre-SHOT shooting events) of camera work, hosting events, a stunning number of meetings — maybe 3X the number I've ever had before — constant exposure to Vegas' casino soup of cigarette smoke, over-filtered air and the stench of desperation...not to mention at night at a Ted Nugent concert... have left me virtually voiceless, as well as with the usual post-SHOT head cold.

The ringer is that tomorrow I leave for the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA, we're I'll be signing...and talking...all day Friday at the OUTDOOR CHANNEL booth. Please, PLEASE, drop by and see me! Bring cough drops and hot lemon tea, too...

A little political gossip from the cherubs and seraphims...watch for McCain to go after Romney on...guns...

Michael;

Get well soon, ol' chap.

What MB failed to mention is that McCain will attack Mitt on how LAX he is on gun control.

My lil' birdies in the politico world slipped me McCain's attack points

"Rwanda? Yeah, that was all Mitt. Virginia Tech? Mitt sold Cho the GLOCK. That Omaha mall thing? Mitt drove the guy there. JFK? Mitt was on the grassy knoll."

Actually, I think Romney signed the assault weapons ban in MA making it permanent. He also sided with Sarah Brady's bill and efforts on assault weapons. Romney raised fees on gun owners in his state using their money to help balance the budget. Because they were a small group with no real power in the state, what did he care if he stuck it to them. MA also of course restricts magazine capacity - 10 rounds only please. Add to that Romney claiming to be a hunter and owning no guns then claiming to have NRA backing when he didn't, and you get a pretty good picture of what Romney is all about when it comes to guns.

Then again, he did become a conservative just in time to run for president so maybe it's all OK now. Kind of a "that was then, this is now" thing on Romney's part.

The smoky soup they call air in Las Vegas always has the same effect on me too. Best wishes for a fast recovery.

As of today, Thursday, February 8, Romney is gone. Now, we need to rally behind Huck'! He is closing the gap on McCain, that's why Romney tossed the towel in. McCain is very vulnerable, as far as conservatives are concerned and that's why the left-wing media loves him. They know that he can't win against Hill'y, because some of the "right" will sit it out just like they did when they voted for Perot and virtually handed the election to the first Clinton! If Huckabee wins the nomination, no conservative should sit out the vote. We can win it if we all vote!
