Ah, the Pecadilloes of Moronic Youth!

This from the Harvard Crimson, the newspaper of those little college weasels who aspire to rule us all someday:
Pulling the Trigger
The Second Amendment is an anachronism in need of repeal

Written in an age in which minutemen rose to dress and fight at a moment’s notice, the Second Amendment was no doubt motivated by a young nation’s concern for its own safety and stability. But now, when the United States is protected by the most powerful security forces on the globe, the Second Amendment is neither relevant nor useful. Rather, it has become an impediment to vital public policy, and it should be repealed and replaced with nuanced federal legislation.
Only a painfully naive college student could write "nuanced federal legislation" without breaking up in gales of uncontrollable laughter. As usual, the staff of the Crimson repeats the Brady talking points without bothering to even fact-check them. As usual, we get down on our knees and thank the Benevolent Spirits of Whatever Universe You Presently Reside In that college students are taken less seriously than personal pets.

I don't get the hatred towards gun owners. I can't wrap my head around it. The left wants me to except all their positions but can't allow me the freedom to defend myself and enjoy my sport.

My young nephew is a Harvard MBA grad. At a family gathering I overheard him say, "That uncle Harold is the HANDYEST person I've ever known" and later heard, "That's what I pay other people to do". He's now the CEO of a NYC company worth $60 million.
He's the person I'd least want to be stranded on a desert island with and at almost 40 is not married or in a steady relationship.
MONEY is his only goal in life and people that don't put more money in his pocket aren't on his radar.
Let's hope the newest generation will have common sence and not be totally focused on CENTS ~ ; - )

Ah, 02138. "The most opinionated zip code in America."

I was going to write a whole post about how disappointing it is to see such a poorly-constructed argument in defense of such a controversial position, but I think I'll write a letter to the editor instead.

Those who believe running the country is the sole providence are comfortable relinquishing individual rights to self protection to the government.

To those people, gun owners are the ones keeping their favorite socialists out of the white house.

Without us, the country would have enforced multiculturalism, free immigration, poorly operated health clinics and gay marriage.

Pardon the non sequiture, but I just encountered an interesting statement in a recently released book:

"In self-defense and in defense of the innocent, killing is not murder, hesitation is not moral, and cowardice is the only sin."

from "The Darkest Evening Of The Year" --- Dean Koontz

Methinks these Harvard college boys and girls have not lived long enough or have lived too sheltered of a life to have ever been the victim of:

a mugging,
a rape,
a burglary,
an assault/battery,

etc.

I also think that had they have been such a victim their attitude towards self defense and the second amendment would be different.

Wasn't it Winston Churchill who said:

"If you're not a liberal at age 20, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative at age 30, you have no brain."
