And Speaking of Reprehensible People...

"It's time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense and sow dangerous conflict in our neighborhoods."

That, of course is Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States — chief gun-grabber, Mexican murderer and race-baiter, striving to create yet another crisis that will allow the rogue Obama "government" to destroy a little more of the Constitution it so abhors.

I wanted to let my Zimmerman blogpost stand for a day or so until the podcast went up. Now definitely read Steven Hunter's brilliant essay on the Powerline Blog:
1) Profiling. When the president calls for “calm” in the aftermath of the jury speaking, he is profiling. When police departments call in the manpower, put special command units into specific locations, and beef up for potential demonstrations or rioting, they are profiling. When celebs and rap stars use social media to put out irresponsible incantations to bad behavior, they are profiling. They are, in fact, profiling far more invidiously than anything George Zimmerman was accused of.
Their presumption is that the African-American community is immature, impulsive, prone to violence and incapable of understanding the nuances of the case. More volatile and less rational, this community demands special attention in order to nurse it through an emotional crisis, spare it and us from irreparable damage. It is, in fact, based on an us/them dichotomy.
Any individual who argued such a point would be destroyed; these gentlemen and entities may do so without consequence, except an affront to reason and the stench of hypocrisy.
Steve's closing point, and one that I agree with, is that the Kel-Tec worked perfectly within the context it was designed for. It's become fashionable to diss the little 9mms and .380s, which are, parenthetically, the best-selling firearms in the U.S., for being what they are...hard to shoot, tough to hang onto, less practical accuracy that a larger platform, etc. Yet the Martin shooting shows the little guns to work extremely well in the "hot zone" distances they were designed for. Do I want to shoot groups at 15 yards with a Kel-Tec 9mm, a Ruger LC9, a Kahr 9mm, a Sig 938, an S&W Shield or Beretta Nano? Not really. But I do know that one of those pistols in my pocket  will do the job it was designed to do.

Profound words from Rush Limbaugh:
George Zimmerman practiced self-defense. That's not healthy. That's an obstacle to what the left wants. Now, they want you to believe they're upset because George Zimmerman killed a black guy. When you get right down to it, that's not what bothers 'em. It's the gun. It's the ability to self-defend. It's the ability to protect one's self-and not need the police, the government, or what have you. That's what really bothers them.

I've come to conclusion that when Holder opens his mouth in Public, it's Obama that's speaking. It's obvious that the Obama Regime will do everything in it's power to stop the spread of "Stand Your Ground" and any other Law that enhances the RKBA. The more the RKBA is made available w/o Penalties being imposed by the State, the less chance that the "Fundamental Transformation of America"(into the Union of Soviet Socialist Amerika) can occur.

Another thing to consider is that, in spite of all the "Rabble Rousing" this Regime has done over the last 18 months, the Mass Uprising in the Inner Cities did NOT occur, thus putting them in the Awkward Position of NOT being able to Deploy every Federale they could get to "Restore Order." No Nail to Hammer spoils one Legacy, doesn't it?

Also, with Alan Gura and the SAF on the Wollard Case now, the Legal Question of just where/when/how the Right to Self-Defense can be used is going to hit the Federal Courts, and should make it to SCOTUS.

All before Obama leaves Office (maybe).

So Stayed Tuned, because this one is NOT going to go away.

Do you also find it interesting that by demanding the repeal of SYG laws they are inadvertantly acknowledging that the groups to which they pander are also the aggressors? regards, Alemaster

Steven and Rush are right on.

Just heard tonight on one of the talking head stations that the FBI told Sanford PD to deny the return of Zimmerman's handgun.

Apparently an aquittal is now reason to keep someones property - even though the presiding judge ordered the property to be released.
Is he now a prohibited possessor?
Was this under a judges order?
Is it any firearm or just this one?
Is the DOJ going to babysit him now and provide protection?
Enquiring minds want to know...

This country gets weirder and weirder.

And now Dick Durbin has just announced (07-19-2013) that he will hold Senate hearings on "stand-your-ground" laws when they return to "work" this coming September. How sad that he would think that we should all just roll over and let his liberally-coddled criminal constituents have their way with honest citizens. We need to turn up in-force, to get our point across. The general public needs to be informed honestly just how these laws help everyone.

Stick Together,
